Burned out, depressed, and unable to focus for more than 5 minutes
Three years ago I was on sick leave feeling so incredibly exhausted, in full depression, and couldn't sit down to work for more than 5 minutes. I still had a master's thesis to write. Some days, graduating felt impossible.
Working only 20 hours a week, I accidentally taught myself (through science) to get into flow state every day to write my thesis. Within weeks my mental health improved and the fog started to disappear. I finished the thesis 5 months later.
I got the highest grade. And was invited to publish my study in a scientific journal 😳
Our neurodivergent brain really isn't the problem. We just have to create a new way of working. That's why I'm creating Heron — to make it so freaking easy for us to do deep work without burning out 👏👏

Why can't I just focus and get it done?
We can focus. Our brains are just in overdrive, making it really hard. Because most workplaces, schools and universities just aren't designed to support our busy brain.
It's not a you problem. Our brain just craves a new way of working, that actually supports it.
